I had the opportunity to accompany a fine wedding photographer to her client's wedding. I watched, took mental notes, asked questions, and took a few shots with natural or ambient/available light. Since I wasn't part of the official team, I had to sneak photos in without using a flash.
I was pleased. Not overly impressed with myself, but pleased.

a country wedding

A friend of my husband invited us to his daughter's wedding less than a month before the date, and asked my husband to play drums in the band.
He had no photographer, and no plans for one, so I offered to capture the memories of the day.

I arrived on the big day and found the men waiting outside.


I met the bride in her father's home; she was getting ready in the bedroom which was in the process of being re-decorated. I worked with sheets on the windows, and one bare light bulb hanging from the ceiling. I did my best to ignore the background and capture her beauty.
