Timeless

Trends in photography come and go. Photo editing apps allow the photographer to choose hues post capture and design an array of prints to suit mood or decor. Although I enjoy experimenting with artistic styles, for the most part I try to stay away from these trends. By manipulating light - in your home or in the studio- and keeping the color and skintones natural, I create a timeless piece of art. I hope you are inspired by these portraits.

Shamblewood Portrait studio

When we moved to this area, I vowed to not become attached. It's our home, but not my forever home; it's simply a place to plant myself for now.
While here, however, I am going to make the most of it!
Between hard scapes and landscapes, I have set up our portrait studio!

blown away

I knew of this young lady before she was born,
and I'm blown away at how beautiful she grew to be.

special senior

I've captured the images of many high school seniors. They have all been special to me.
But this one-- this one... I held her as a newborn. She learned to walk along side my own son.
Excuse me; there's something in my eye...

I knew her when....

..and now she is graduating.

One of the things I love about being in a home school community is that I get to watch the children of my friends grow from  little children into beautiful adults, and they allow me to be part of their growth, sharing their beauty.

into the wild

This  senior chose a spot with what she called wild growing backgrounds.

Before the sun went down, we moved to the bay to capture the golden light.

God created this work of art; I just captured it!!
