special senior

I've captured the images of many high school seniors. They have all been special to me.
But this one-- this one... I held her as a newborn. She learned to walk along side my own son.
Excuse me; there's something in my eye...

I knew her when....

..and now she is graduating.

One of the things I love about being in a home school community is that I get to watch the children of my friends grow from  little children into beautiful adults, and they allow me to be part of their growth, sharing their beauty.

into the wild

This  senior chose a spot with what she called wild growing backgrounds.

Before the sun went down, we moved to the bay to capture the golden light.

God created this work of art; I just captured it!!

the professor

A new job requires a new portrait.

senior time of year!

It's that time of year again! Seniors are always fun, but boys are funny. They want one or two photos of a memory, and then it's just smile for the camera because "Mom wants them."
This one is special to me because I've known this young man since he was much smaller than I am, and I've watched him grow into someone I am proud to know.

I'm not the artist here; I'm just the translator

I am privileged to have one of the most beautiful churches in Houston as a landscape for my families. Leave a comment if you like what you see and would like to schedule a session with this color perfect architecture as your backdrop.

at home in the woods

It's always easiest for a family to stay home for their portrait session instead of dressing up, piling in the van and driving to a studio. I love capturing the images of people in their own home. Children are happier and parents are so much more relaxed!
